Hi my name is Shainah.
This is me without the makeup.
Last night 3 girls and 1 boy verbally abused me.
I was called a circus freak, candle wax face, ugly bitch, deformed girl, “it”, a monster, wierd looking creature and many other hurtful names.
I was born with a bilateral clef lip protruding to my left eye. The umbilicul cord was wrapped around my face in the womb so my face didnt fully develop. I wasnt born with cheek bones because like I said my face didnt develop correctly. They had to take my rib and use it as replacement cheekbones.
My eyes arent perfect either. I had a tumor in the right one.
I wasnt born with any nasal passages. They had to pierce the inside of my nose. For an entire year my mom would have to put tubes down my nose to my lungs so I could breathe.
I’m not telling my story for sympathy or “reblogs” (reblog if you want) My main message is that after having 27 surgeries I am strong and I will not let words hurt me. Don’t be ignorant and make fun of someone whose story you know nothing about.
I’m lucky that I’m alive.
My scars don’t define me. Instead they tell a story. They tell everyone around me, AND remind me each day that I am a survivor and I am a strong woman. Even the strongest of people break down sometimes. Please remember that words hurt. I may be strong but some girls aren’t.

I know you say love doesn’t exist Shainah, but I love you. and it was so brave of you to do this. seriously. ive honestly always thought you were so pretty and didnt even notice these scars at first. Love you girl
You are beautiful.

^^

You are gorgeous babygirl <3

I love your smile it’s gorgeous

During the years of 2007-2011, Dame Maggie Smith (Professor McGonagall) continued to film the final Harry Potter movies, all while battling Breast Cancer. During the filming of Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince, Smith had shingles and was forced to wear a wig in order to continue filming.
On the subject, Smith said, “If there’s work to do I’ll do it. I’ve still got to stagger through the last Harry Potter. The cancer was hideous. It takes the wind out of your sails and I don’t know what the future holds, if anything. You feel so ghastly, you wouldn’t mind dying a lot of the time. The last couple of years have been a write-off, though I’m beginning to feel like a person now. My energy is coming back. I ought to pull myself together a bit.” If anything, she’s a truly incredible and inspiring woman, and should be admired greatly.
Respect, Professor McGonagall.

It’s weird to think that a year ago more than half of us here didn’t know any of the boys. ‘One Direction’ were just words, carrots and potatoes weren’t fascinating, seeing stripes or people with curly hair wasn’t amusing and we wouldn’t be saying words like ‘vas happenin’. I think we can all agree that the 5 boys known as One Direction have changed our lives. And to the people we owe it to. Uncle Simon, Katy Perry, Nicole Scherzinger, Their family and friends and of course all the UK directioners since the beginning. Thankyou, we love you all and owe you everything.
